The Valentine Community Project is a Stone Soup effort to make Valentine’s day a little brighter for survivors of domestic abuse living in temporary housing in NYC (and beyond). Since 2013 a diverse group of friends, neighbors, strangers, and folks who might not imagine they have anything in common, have come together to create, share, and spread love. It turns out love is contagious! The project has grown from 17 bags for a single shelter assembled in an apartment, to more than 400 bags for several shelter systems in 2020.
If you would like to join our efforts check out the PARTICIPATE link.
Donations must be received by January 15 to be included in the 2021 bags. Anything received after the deadline will be added to the 2022 bags.
